Sea States

Sea States is a project inspired by the shipping forecast and sea poetry.

The structure of the shipping forecast is limited to a particular order and number of words, rather like poetry. I listen to it late at night tucked up safely in bed comforted by the rhythm of the words, even though the shipping forecast is intended for sailors at sea, who may be in peril. The project culminated in a digital print based on the sea state card used by weather forecasters.
