Transient Theatre 2013

Unlike a work of visual art, a theatrical performance is ephemeral but visual art is preserved in the gallery unchanged by time. The tryptch is based on a painting by Honore Daumier At the Drama. The activity of transcribing Daumier’s painting is parallelled to the processes involved in theatre; studying the text, rehearsing, performing and recording the performance.
